I am Sylviane.
Welcome to my Gallery!
I am a French-born artist based in Minnesota, and my work
explores the quiet resonance between nature, place, and spirit. Through drawing
and painting, I create figurative and realistic works that seek to reveal
moments where light, life, and form come into harmony.
My artistic sensibility was profoundly shaped by my early
career as a theater designer in France, where I worked closely
with directors to translate their visions into immersive visual environments.
This experience refined my understanding of composition, atmosphere, and
emotional impact; skills that continue to shape my fine art practice today.
During this period, my exploration of form and material also led to a sculpture
exhibition in Bordeaux, France.
While living in Denmark, I expended my artistic presence
internationally. I presented a solo exhibition of acrylic paintings at the
Glyptotek Copenhagen Gallery, and later spent eleven years as an art
teacher at Amager International School. There, I guided students through
the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and diverse artistic media, encouraging
creative confidence, personal expression, and the experience of exhibiting work
they could be proud of.
I draw inspiration from many aspects of life… long walks, nature, animals, music, and the
beauty of performance. I am especially sensitive to the quiet spectacles
offered by the natural world: the dialogue between elements, the shifting light
of sunrise and sunset, and the atmospheres that emerge when land, sky, and life
align in harmony.
Recently, I have continued to exhibit internationally and
participate in juried art competitions. Selected recognitions include>
